HelloFresh, the leading e-commerce provider of recipes and matching ingredients in Europe, has successfully closed a growth financing round. The startup welcomes Vorwerk Ventures as a new investor in the company. All old investors, Rocket Internet, Holtzbrinck Ventures and Kinnevik AB, participated in the round.

VORWERK GIVES CHILDREN A HOME: OFFICIAL OPENING OF NEW SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGE IN VIETNAM

The family owned company funds construction and upkeep of village

A whole village has come to life just under 14,000 kilometers east of Wuppertal. As many as 140 children will eventually live in the new SOS Children’s Village in Quy Nhon, Vietnam. Construction of the village was made possible by a donation from the Vorwerk Group workforce, Executive Board and owner family, but support for the village will continue for some years to come, when the workforce and company will continue to provide for food, clothing and the children’s schooling.

Vorwerk Direct Selling Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of the Vorwerk Group, and Omnes Capital (formerly Credit Agricole Private Equity) are investing a mid-seven-figure sum in Tennis-Point GmbH (www.tennis-point.de), the e-commerce leader in the market segment for tennis equipment. Together with its new shareholders, the company aims to further strengthen its market position, drive the internationalisation of its business activities and branch out into a new business segment.

Only one week after the official launch of Pippa&Jean founder and managing director Gerald Heydenreich has managed to find the first strong partner. Vorwerk Direct Selling Ventures GmbH, Wuppertal, the investment company of the Vorwerk Group, has invested in the Social Selling Community which is based in Frankfurt am Main and Hamburg.
