Vorwerk Carpets

It all began with Carpets

Carpets are closely interwoven with the Vorwerk company and its history. That history began in 1883, when Carl and Adolf Vorwerk founded the carpet factory Barmer Teppichfabrik Vorwerk & Co. That was the year the two brothers decided to produce broadloom in addition to narrowloom weaves, which were known as “Barmen articles.” For the broadloom grades they chose a highly innovative method of carpet production which was used only in England at that time. The weaving mills made rapid advances and in 1909, “Vorwerk” became a registered carpet trademark.

Products – New l Room l Feeling

Vorwerk Carpets stand for sophistication, creativity and intelligence revolving around the central thematic constellation floor as foundation and starting point. Superb materials, premium quality, innovative design and a great feeling for room aesthetics are the hallmark of Vorwerk Carpets for private and commercial premises.

An example is the innovative textile tile concept “Scale – TEXtiles Collections by Hadi Teherani,” with which Vorwerk Carpets has for the first time broken with the form, function and design conventions of its previous carpet tile collections and opened up new horizons in interior decoration.

Aside from the TÜV seal “suitable for allergy sufferers” Vorwerk Carpets and tiles carry the international renowned commendation BRE and the Green Label.
